The Light Behind the Click© workshop will not be like any other photography workshop you have experienced. It’s completely hands-on (no boring lectures here!). This workshop will empower you to use your DSLR camera to capture the everyday beauty that is continually happening all around you (in your home, at school, at work and at play). You will discover how to capture real life in a way that makes you proud to share your pictures - and excited to document your experiences (big and small).

This is not a “who has the coolest equipment” competition. Or, a “who has the best pictures” contest. THIS is a special place in time for you to learn new photography skills with zero pressure. THIS is a special community from which you will gain tips and encouragement. THIS is a workshop carefully crafted to help you feel confident when picking up your camera.

Also — please note — this is a walking workshop (literally - we will spend the entire hour outdoors, walking and exploring sights with our cameras). No heavy mountain climbing will be expected (we are in Indiana after all). We will meet at a different location in Fort Wayne each night so that we can take full advantage of the beautiful fall evenings outdoors in two completely different settings. Both workshop sessions will take place as the sun is approaching the magical golden hour, so we will be able to work with some amazing sunset hues as part of the workshop. During the course of the two workshop sessions, you will have the freedom to photograph our provided models, architecture and nature.

The Light Behind the Click‬© Photography Workshop will be offered from 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesdays, September 18 & 25.

The LBtC (Light Behind the Click©) is a hands-on, intimate workshop dedicated to helping photography hobbyists get a better understanding of the way light acts in images. Come become a student of light - - both natural and artificial.  This workshop will empower you to control and take advantage of all forms of light.

NOTE: All camera types welcome (but DSLR users will have the most to gain since we can instantly review the impact of each lighting technique). These workshops are ideal for ages 16+, however we do make some occasional exceptions upon request. To preserve the intimate nature of these workshops, we require a minimum of 4 attendees and a maximum of 12 attendees. The $195.00 workshop fee is due in full in order to register.
